Carlos

Whether it’s a romantic tour for two or the celebration of a special occasion, a ride with Calandria de Carlos of Guadalajara will be an event long remembered.

Riding in a horse-drawn carriage takes you back to an earlier time, when the pace of life was more leisurely. Despite being so old-fashioned, a ride in a carriage will cause you to see the world anew. Carriages like these, named for the mockingbirds (calandrias) that some are painted to resemble, are a distinctive part of Guadalajara‘s heritage. (Elsewhere in the Spanish-speaking world they are called carruajes.)

Driving carriages and carts has been a tradition in Carlos’ family for three generations. You always can depend on Carlos to provide a reliable, exhilarating (but safe) ride at a reasonable price.
By the way, if you will be visiting Tlaquepaque, be sure to consider staying at Olivia's Apartments and dining a La Unica.  Links to other pages of interest are here.
